Knife Sweep in your Community

Today officers from Safer Neighbourhood Team have been out and about in communities, conducting preventative knife sweeps as part of the national Operation Sceptre week of action.

Whilst we know it is the minority of people who think it is acceptable to carry a knife, it can have devastating consequences when they do.

This proactive work means that we can check for any discarded knives or weapons and safely dispose of them, keeping them from getting into the wrong hands.
